CIVINTEC introduces CT5 Crystal Touch Reader, a versatile access control reader that combines multi-technology authentication with an interactive touchscreen design. Built to meet the evolving demands of modern access control, the CT5 brings together secure credential recognition, intuitive user interaction, and seamless system integration in one compact device.

Featuring a 3.5-inch customizable touchscreen, the CT5 delivers clear visual feedback and intuitive guidance throughout the authentication process, enhancing the overall user experience. Optional SAM support and built-in tamper protection further strengthen credential security and reader protection.

Multiple Authentication Options for Secure Entry

The CT5 supports multiple credential technologies to accommodate different access control requirements:

• RFID Card: Supports 13.56 MHz MIFARE® and DESFire® EV1/EV2/EV3 cards, with 125 kHz card support available on selected models.

• NFC/BLE Mobile Credentials: Allows users to unlock doors using smartphones, with NFC and BLE supported on Android and BLE supported on iOS.

• PIN Code: The integrated touchscreen keypad supports PIN code entry, providing an additional credential option for access control.

For applications requiring enhanced credential security, the CT5 supports an optional MIFARE® SAM AV2/AV3 module to help protect encryption keys.

Customizable Touchscreen for Clear User Feedback

The CT5 features a 3.5-inch color touchscreen with a customizable user interface. Through supported OSDP commands, the display can present custom text, logos, and images, including access instructions, status messages, and visitor photos. On-screen access status messages provide users with clear authentication feedback, while tamper alarm indications help make potential reader security issues more visible.

Easy Integration and Simplified Configuration

The CT5 connects to compatible access controllers through Wiegand and RS485 (OSDP) interfaces, supporting integration with existing access control systems. Its Configcard and configuration software simplify reader setup, configuration management, functional testing, and firmware upgrades, helping streamline deployment and ongoing maintenance.

Designed for Indoor and Outdoor Installations

With an IP65-rated housing and an operating temperature range of -20℃ to +60℃, the CT5 is designed to withstand dust, water jets, and a wide range of operating temperatures. UV-resistant protection is available on selected models for outdoor environments exposed to sunlight. A built-in tamper switch also provides an indication of attempts to remove, adding another layer of protection.
